Community Safety & Violence Reduction Unit Fund 2020-2021

Community Safety Fund 17-18 307x183

APPLICATIONS FOR CLOSED 20TH DECEMBER 2019 - A list of organisations who have received grants can be found below - click HERE

Welcome to the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner's 2020-21 Community Safety and Violence Reduction Unit Fund.  This Fund will provide grants to third sector community based organisations to enable local delivery against the Police and Crime Plan and the purpose and vision of the newly created Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).

Whilst final budget decisions have yet to be made, the Commissioner (also Chair of the VRU) hopes to be able to provide grant funding of around £350,000.  The funding is available to support third sector organisations (i.e. organisations that are not for profit and non governmental, for example registered charities and social enterprises) to assist the Commissioner to reduce crime and protect victims, witnesses and vulnerable people.

The Nottinghamshire Police & Crime Plan has a number of strategic themes and key activities.  The Commissioner has identified a number of areas where third sector organisations are well placed to help deliver the Plan via grants from this fund.  Details of these areas can be found in the Guidance Document which can be downloaded below.  Applications for funding to deliver activity in these areas will score more highly in the evaluation of the grant applications.

Applications are invited for up to a maximum of £25,000 and organisations may apply for one project only with successful projects delivering during some or all of the period 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2021 only.

The deadline for receipt of electronic and hard copy applications is midday on Friday 20th December 2019.

If you would like to seek advice on whether your project idea might fit within the Commissioner’s priorities, or you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Claire Good on grants@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk or call 0115 844 5998.
