PCC scrutinises safer streets improvements in Nottinghamshire

PCC accountability board

Improvements to areas of Nottinghamshire thanks to Safer Streets funding were among a number of topics scrutinised by Police and Crime Commissioner Caroline Henry this week.

How Nottinghamshire Police engage with communities, along with efforts to tackle retail crime also came under the microscope in the Commissioner’s monthly Accountability Board on Tuesday.

The Accountability Board is a meeting where the Commissioner scrutinises, supports, challenges and holds Nottinghamshire Police’s Chief Constable to account on behalf of the public to ensure efficient and effective policing services are being delivered.

It also allows the Commissioner a forum to monitor the progress of delivering the Police and Crime Plan objectives and to set the strategic direction of local policing services.

At the next Accountability Board on 21 November, we are asking you to send in your questions about rural crime for the Chief Constable. Click HERE to submit your question.
