Help is available for anyone who has been negatively impacted by the major incident in Nottingham today.
Nottinghamshire Victim CARE is a free service offering people the chance to speak to a trained victim support professional who can provide a range of practical and emotional support. There are people standing by to take calls now.
The service, which also provides advocacy for victims of crime, is commissioned by Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner Caroline Henry.
“This incident is likely to have been witnessed by a number of people, and will have impacted on many more, including the loved ones of those affected,” said Commissioner Henry.
“Our wonderful city is in shock at the moment but it is important to remember that at times of need, Nottinghamshire Police and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner are here to respond and support you.”
Nottinghamshire Victim CARE can be contacted on 0800 304 7575 or Home Page (nottsvictimcare.org.uk). The helpline is open Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm and Saturday from 9am until 5pm.
